John Morgan, M.D., co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of CarePlus, oversees clinical service, compliance standards, and physician and patient satisfaction to support successful operations in partner facilities.
John has 20 years’ clinical, academic, and administrative experience within the healthcare industry. He has worked as Medical Director at St. Mary’s Center for Rehabilitative Medicine since 2008. John has served as a hospitalist and attending physician at well-respected facilities around the country, including University Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, and DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia. He is also the founding partner and president of three medical organizations – Advanced Hospitalist Solutions, Walton Hospitalist Solutions, and Barrow Inpatient Services
After graduating with a B.S. in microbiology from the University of Georgia, John earned his M.D. at Emory University School of Medicine. Since 2008, John has taught as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy. He is licensed by the Georgia American Board of Internal Medicine Society of Hospital Medicine.
He lives in Athens with his wife, with whom he has three daughters. John enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
